Au-Pair or volunteer

The application processing time can be up to 10 working days after all necessary documents have been submitted.
Individuals who are coming to Iceland to work as a volunteer for an approved volunteer organization or stay as an Au-pair for a family living in Iceland.
You must submit documentation that you are in fact an Au-pair or a volunteer, for example:
- Au-pair contract between the applicant and Au-pair employer
- Volunteer contract with an approved voluntary organization
For Au-Pairs, the same conditions as an employee usually apply.
For volunteers, the same conditions as private means of support usually apply.
