Voting rights in Grindavik
Please note that this application applies only to the municipal elections on May 16, 2026.
The requirements for applying to be on the electoral register in Grindavík are as follows:
- Icelandic and Nordic citizens – 18 years or older on election day
- Other foreign citizens who have had continuous residence in Iceland for 3 years on election day
- Legal domicile in Iceland at the time of application, and in a municipality other than Grindavík
- Legal domicile must have been in Grindavík on November 9, 2023
